Fanservice: The undrafted

Reader Shawn Ryan asks:

OK, last comment, I swear. It looks like you didn’t look at undrafted players. I’d be curious to know if you found anything for players like Jeremy Lin, Omar Samhan, Artsiom Parakhouski, Brian Zoubek, Aubrey Coleman, and Tyler Smith.

So I had some time and decided to do a quick post. Are any of the undrafted free agents any good?  Here’s the table:

The answer is of course:

I’m dying here. Seriously. Larry Riley took Udoh – his ONLY pick – way too high, and Udoh gets injured. So instead, he gets two rookie free agents (I’m betting on signing Adrien) who grade out at low lottery and mid-second round?

Prof. Berri’s numbers may hate Philadelphia, but yours surely do love Golden State. :)

Cool, thanks Arturo. I’m excited to see what Jeremy Lin does. The Warriors are kinda shallow at the point, so I hope he gets some time on the court.

It seems that you are listing Jeremy Lin as a 2, although I think he played point (1). How much do the numbers change if his position is a 1 instead? I’d assume it would go down since PGs are on average more productive than SGs. Thanks for the analysis!

I’m using draft express position projection for everyone (and they have him as an NBA SG). His numbers as a rookie would go down to about .050 as 100% PG.
